Public Holidays 2020 in China

In China, weekdays and weekend days are exchanged with each other. Yes, you heard it right. People in China also work on Saturdays and Sundays. If a holiday is on a working day, the government will make the coming weekend day a normal working day and people have to go to work on that day. We know that its a bit confusing but it is favorable to the people the Chinese citizens.
There are technically six national holidays in a year, most people live away from their home town. So in order to visit the home town, there has to be a long holiday or it should fall during the coming weekend. But workers are given yearly leave by the government so he can visit his home.
China Public Holidays 2020
The first big festival of the country China is the Chines new year which is known as Lunar New Year worldwide which is a festival celebrated on the occasion of the new year according to the Chines calendar. It starts from the 25th to 31st of January, 2020 and it is celebrated annually.
Ching Ming Festival Holiday is another big day in the Chines calendar which is known as the sweeping day and ancestors day in English. On this day, the people of China goes to their ancestor’s graves and clean them. This falls from April 4th to April 6th, 2019.
Have you ever heard about the Dragon Boat Festival which is celebrated in China? This is a festival where people race against each other on boats which are structured as dragons. This festival represents the energy of the youth of the country. According to the Chines calendar, the festival falls in the summer but it is not on the same date as before and changes year by year.
